What is a belly flop landing?

Before landing, the Starship prototypes are designed to pull off a “belly flop” in which they switch off their engines, flip onto their front, and freefall horizontally before righting themselves — almost like a dolphin leaping out of the water.

What is a sideslip landing?

A sideslip is when the wing on the side of the plane where the wind is coming from is lowered to offset the tendency of the plane to drift sideways downwind. That is, the plane is flared and landed with the wing down and the nose pointed straight down the runway.
