Can you put Pergo on stairs?
Be sure to glue Pergo flooring when installing it on a stairway. Use a heavy-duty structural adhesive from a tube such as PL 400 or PL 600. As stair nosing, use the 5-in-1 moulding plus the aluminium base for stair nosing.
Is Pergo worth the extra money?
Pergo is a great affordable option for durability and look. For $2.27 / SF, It will give you the look of beautiful light colored oak flooring for a fraction of the price. The results are beautiful. While I do really like our Pergo flooring, there absolutely are better flooring options out there.
How long do Pergo floors last?
Long-lasting Pergo laminates may last around 25 years if these are adequately cared for. With a limited residential and commercial warranty of 10 years or so, Pergo laminates assure that no wear through, fading, staining, or water damage may affect the floor under regular use.
Is 12mm laminate good?
Laminate flooring should be between 6-12mm thick. If you find thicker than 12mm, it’s an inaccurate measurement–possibly including attached padding. If you want the highest-quality, hardwood feel, you’ll want 10 or 12mm. If cost is a concern and you have a smooth subfloor, you can get by with 7 or 8mm.
Can you use a Swiffer Wet Jet on Pergo floors?
Pergo is not hardwood. Don’t spray the liquid (use the “Wet Jet”), or you’ll end up with the dreaded streaks. Just use the Swiffer cloth dampened with the Swiffer Cleaner. Pergo warns against using the jet feature as it gets the floor too wet.
